Select Professional Experience

  • Represented a catering service provider in cross suits relating to disputes under a tender with a PSU. Dispute related to liability under indemnity clause and recovery of invoiced amount.
  • Represented a foreign bondholder in prosecuting a declaratory suit seeking nullification corporate action converting FCCB bonds into equity. Also worked with the lawyers of the trustee to initiate winding up proceedings on behalf of the bondholders.
  • Represented a HNI in an administrative suit arising out of a testamentary dispute in relation to rights in a Hindu Un-divided Family of the deceased father.
  • Represented a SPV involved in construction for National Highway Authority of India in relation to a challenge by landowners to the land acquisition by the authority.
  • Represented lenders based in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, and Hong Kong in proceedings arising out of default of corporate guarantee by an Indian parent company of a Singaporean subsidiary. 
  • Closely worked with Clifford Chance, Hong Kong as International Counsel for the lenders.
  • Represented Goldman Sachs in litigation involving enforcement of terms of investment in relation to investment in a Services and Logistics Company in Hyderabad.
  • Represented various international institutional investors in multiple litigations across courts at Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi, involving acquisition of shares in an Indian Bank.
  • Handling litigation involving defending a Real estate company based in Chennai against invalid exercise of Put Option by a German Investor.
  • Represented a USA based IT major in litigation involving defending allegations of infringement of trademark.
  • Represented renowned movie maker in litigation involving enforcement of rights under a charter document of a movie producers association.
  • Represented a sovereign investment fund in defending and undertaking action in relation to allegations of fraud by the Indian management of a company in the Food and Agriculture sector. Closely worked with Herbert Smith Freehills LLC, Singapore as the International Counsel.
  • Advising a Pharmaceutical company on allegations relating to bribery and violation of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, 1977 (U.S.A.) by the employees of an Indian Subsidiary. Closely worked with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLC, New York as International Counsels of the client.
  • Conducted internal inquiry on behalf of a prominent investment fund for allegations of sexual harassment against top management, assignment included examination of witnesses and risk assessment.
